Pioli asks AC Milan to sign 2 former players

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli wants to bring at San Siro his two former players Federico Chiesa and Nikola Milenkovic.

The AC Milan management has prioritized the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker wants to stay and only the last details of the agreement are missing before announcing the contract extension. In the meantime Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are also planning the summer shopping campaign.

The permanence of the Swedish star changes the plans of the Rossoneri who now will no longer invest for a centre forward but rather for a new winger able to play on both sides. In this way the alternatives to Ibrahimovic will be Ante Rebic and Rebic Leao reports MilanNews.it.

According to Tuttosport, Federico Chiesa is the ideal profile for AC Milan. The Italian winger is young, strong, flexible and still has ample room for improvement. Obviously it won’t be easy to snatch him from Fiorentina who are asking for a rather high figure of 70 million euros to let their star leave.

Nevertheless, the Rossoneri are very big admirers of Chiesa and a concrete attempt is expected shortly. Fiorentina on the other hand are very interested in Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta so the two clubs will shortly sit down to talk about a number of issues. Coach Stefano Pioli has asked the club to try and sign both his former players Federico Chiesa and Nikola Milenkovic.

During Pioli’s time at Fiorentina Chiesa established himself as one of the most exciting talents in Serie A. While Milenkovic was among Pioli’s first signings as coach of Fiorentina n 2017. AC Milan are interested in both players but convincing Fioretina to sell one, let alone two, will be a very difficult task. The 22-year-old Serbian centre back is valued at around 30-40 million euros.
